Et bien, on enfile une épaulière (trop petite) et son vieux casque. On court et on se remémore le bon vieux temps.
Puis on reste assis tout le dimanche... courbaturé mais avec un sourire idiot sur le visage.

Then you sit all sunday ... stiff but with an idiotic smile on your face.

"Mes" Pittsburgh STEELERS ont raté le coche face aux Green-Bay PACKERS mais quel match! Du suspense jusqu'à la dernière minute. (score 31-25)
Quel Sport! Autre chose que de voir des gus courir après un ballon, depuis peu, habillés comme de vrais chiffoniers (peut-etre un rapport avec ces querelles estivales)
Bref, il faut bien que je defende un peu ce sport pratiqué durant ma jeunesse...

The Pittsburgh Steelers are almost done for the pre-season games, losing to the Denver Broncos 17-34.  Let's move to the "real thing", the championship.
Oh yes... Steelers are 2-1 at this time. (next is Carolina Panthers for the pre-season)

Back in the days...

Some 20 years ago when we didn't mind being stiff and broken from all the hits and tackles.

Now it's different. I can't even stand-up from my chair without making a weird face. But damn it was good to run and play "hard-nose" while facing old buddies and teammates.
We ex-Rams, Vikings, Phoenix (B) or Flanders had a glimpse of what we play back in the days...

Today, Foot US is more developed in France -not enough thoughts- but this is a good thing.
For my part, I will be a coach. Time for me to yell and push forward all those young guys to excel. They have already this special thing... somekind of virus called American Football.
